Pressure Kay drops his dynamic new single, “Ocean Drive” with Sky Limbu and Shahil X with powerful instrumentals under the dominant influence of musical genres like electro-pop, future bass, and hybrid trap. The track “Ocean Drive” is released under the 4-track EP, “Genesis”. The EP “Genesis” was released by Pressure Kay and Sky Limbu as a collaboration EP, in which they were trying to combine their individual distinctive styles together and came up with several compelling songs that they really enjoyed and flabbergasted by.
The track consists of an upbeat electronic rock-like musical sound design enriched with infectious guitar skills from Sky Limbu. The blistering and explosive soundscape with fine bass grooves in the track has added additional depth and layer of grit to the atmosphere of the track combined with a unique twist of a hybrid-trap drop. Moreover, the future bass synths are perfectly placed in the track along with electrifying guitar riffs.
“Within the EP ‘Genesis’, Ocean Drive is our favorite song that we’ve worked with so far”, mentioned Pressure Kay. They had the idea of making a “feel good” track and wanted to incorporate Sky’s guitar skills into it for a nostalgic vibe. Also, they both also loved the original “Ocean Drive” by Duke Dumont, and decided that they were going to cover it but in their own style. However, they lacked a vocalist. Coincidentally, they were working with Shahil on a different project at the time. Thus, they have decided to pitch the whole idea to him, and he agreed to work with them to bring the song to life with his sultry and smooth vocals. Eventually, the track came together really quickly after they got him in the studio, and everything just fit!
“Ocean Drive” is available now on major music streaming platforms. Feel free to follow the artists for more information and updates.
